From Paris to London, via Rome, Brussels, and Berlin, the international community has moved with unprecedented speed to confront Iran’s unjustified attacks on the Gulf states. Political and diplomatic communications poured into Gulf capitals, delivering a message that was unmistakably clear: We are with you, and we stand ready to support your security and defend your sovereignty.

This remarkable international mobilization was not a mere protocol-driven reaction to a regional crisis. Rather, it reflected loyalty, recognition, and respect for long-standing friendships and carefully built strategic partnerships that Gulf states have cultivated over decades.

The World Rallies Behind the Gulf

In this context, the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, alone received an unprecedented series of phone calls from the leaders of thirty-six countries, all expressing clear messages of solidarity and support amid rapidly unfolding regional developments.

These calls came from influential leaders across multiple continents, illustrating the breadth of international consensus and the clarity of global positioning regarding what the UAE—and the Gulf region more broadly—is facing today.

During these exchanges, leaders unequivocally rejected Iran’s aggressive actions, reaffirming their full solidarity with the UAE and their support for all legitimate measures taken to safeguard national sovereignty and security. This position goes beyond traditional diplomatic condemnation; it marks the emergence of a new international understanding of Gulf security as a cornerstone of global stability—not a theater for political brinkmanship or military signaling.

The Gulf: A Model of Stability and Development in an Age of Crisis

The significance of this international consensus extends far beyond temporary solidarity. It strikes at the very heart of the Gulf model itself—one defined by stability, development, and openness in a deeply volatile regional environment.

This model, particularly the Emirati experience, has become a distinctive case on both regional and global stages, synonymous with life, prosperity, and confident progress toward the future. Today, Gulf states stand as living examples of modern, successful nations capable of harmonizing sustainable development with security, and global openness with the protection of national sovereignty.

From this perspective, defending the security of Gulf states is inseparable from defending a political and economic model that has proven its capacity to balance security and growth. The current international alignment can thus be read as indirect protection of a shared ecosystem of values and interests—energy security, global market stability, maritime safety, and a development model that now serves as a stabilizing pillar within the regional order.

A Natural International Alignment in Unnatural Circumstances

This global alignment is neither surprising nor circumstantial. Leading international relations thinkers—foremost among them former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger —have long emphasized that Gulf security is organically linked to the stability of the international system, given the region’s central role in energy dynamics, maritime routes, and global strategic balances.

This explains both the speed and scale of the international response to Iranian attacks, which are widely perceived as a threat extending well beyond the narrow confines of the region.

This stance is fully aligned with the vision established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who believed that true national stability is not built through force alone, but through wisdom, development, and positive engagement with the world. These values remain at the core of the Gulf model—especially in the UAE—which today enjoys broad international respect and support.

In practical terms, recent developments have demonstrated that Gulf states are capable of responding to such attacks with confidence and professionalism, grounded in long-term strategic investments in national defense aimed at protecting sovereignty rather than engaging in aggression or arms races. The effectiveness of these choices has once again validated the Gulf’s strategic vision.

At the same time, Gulf leaders are fully aware that they are not facing these challenges alone. Should the need arise for any form of support, the world that now says “We are with you” has shown genuine readiness to stand alongside the Gulf—defending regional stability and protecting a successful regional model from destabilization, escalation, or imposed realities.

Those Who Sow Goodwill Reap Global Support

Across much of the world, there is genuine sadness and concern at seeing vibrant cities of life, hope, and peace—such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Manama, Doha, Riyadh, Kuwait City, and Muscat—targeted by attempts at disruption and distortion.

People across the globe carry positive memories of these cities—whether they have visited them, lived in them, or simply admired what they represent. There is a widespread refusal to accept that such places should be threatened or destabilized, and a growing readiness to intervene if circumstances demand.

Ultimately, this international alignment confirms that Gulf security is no longer merely a regional concern—it has become a cornerstone of global stability itself. As the saying goes, “Those who sow goodwill reap goodwill.” Gulf states, led by the UAE, have long invested in dialogue, peace, and development, and today they are reaping the world’s genuine respect and support—not just in words, but in actions.

The message “We are with you” transcends symbolic solidarity. It is a global declaration against sabotage and destabilization, and a clear endorsement of those who pursue peace and security in the region. Protecting the Gulf model today is not only about safeguarding borders and sovereignty—it is about defending a civilizational vision, a source of hope and progress whose light radiates from Gulf cities to the wider world.

To the people of the Gulf: know that you are not alone. The world stands with you today, speaking with one voice—“We are with you”—not merely in rhetoric, but through commitment and action, affirming that the values of peace and development you have cultivated are now a shared global legacy worth protecting.
